Claiming Gold Continuing Results
For those of you who purchased and are using the method, the results of this past weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) are listed in the table below. You can check that against your own handicapping with the method and perhaps it will answer some of your questions, or raise a few – which you can post, or email us – and we’d be glad to answer.
For those of you who were “on-the-fence” or wanted to see continuing results before purchase . . .
First – there are 2 points that have either been asked about already, or that I did not explain clearly enough in the method;
1. In the exacta betting – your combinations should ALWAYS include the the 2nd ranked rating score horse.
2. Those of you who have been with us over the years know my own predilection is to always try to bet two horses. I gave a guideline in the method about betting a singleton when at less than 9/5 and dutching when both qualifiers at 9/5 and higher, but you don’t want to be too strict on that. Example: two quals at 2/1 and 2/1 – you even dutch the wager and get 50 cents on the dollar when one of them wins. But say you have your top horse going off at 6/5 and second qual off at 8/1 if you dutch those 80/20 your going to get back more than 50 cents on the dollar – thus making it as good or better a bet than the first example.
The better guideline would be – (you can’t dutch odds-on horses with this method because of the odds parameter limits on the high end) Dutch any top ranked horse at 1/1 or higher if you can get 8/1 combined odds with the second ranked horse. i.e 1/1, 6/5, 7/5 can be dutched with 7/1 and 8/1 . . . 3/2 and 8/5 can be dutched with 6/1.
(remember that the “average” 6/1 horse will actually pay 6.45 to 1 ($14.90))
– don’t do this in reverse – i.e. if the top horse is 6/1 to 8/1 and the second is less than 9/5 – bet the top horse only.
