Horse Racing Gold Breeders Cup Report results for 2018

We’ve had several players request results of the Horse Racing Gold Breeders Cup Report this year, so thought we would recap the results while still fresh in everyone’s mind . . .

Below is a table with race-by-race results, and “accounting” tallies.

(also – 3 of our listed lonshots ran 3rd – at 10-1, 15-1, and 14-1)

Overall Profits @ $100  win wagers (top two ranks), $50 long-shot wagers, and $5 exacta wagers:

– Top rank  +$378
– Second rank    +$620.20
– Long-shots  +$897.60
– Exactas   +$78

Each of the top two ranks hit 5 winners, so betting the two combined hit for 71.4% (10 of 14).

If all long-shots were also included – the 2018 HRG BC Report hit the winner in 12 of the 14 races for 85.7%.

The overall ROI for win was then +35.5% over the two days (playing all top 2 ranked, and all listed long-shots).

We hit 6 exactas, but the only good payer was in the Mile when our long-shot (third-ranked) won with our top-ranked horse in the place slot ($134.40). Otherwise the mediocre payoffs were only enough to cover our wagers because of spreading pretty wide in a couple of races.

We hit three pick 3s and a pick 4 for good profit – but – we don’t give recommendations for those in the Report. It is impossible to know the “average” amount of money that is available for wagering into the various pools for our Report buyers.  We leave it to each of them to work out those wagers should they choose – from the information given.

This was a fairly formful year for Breeders Cup prices. Profit-wise, it was neither a “big” year, nor a “poor” year for the Report.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year.             – Gary / Horse Racing Gold
